We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized accounting and bookkeeping professional to support financial operations within a healthcare environment. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting day-to-day bookkeeping activities, and helping ensure compliance with applicable accounting practices and internal procedures. The ideal candidate is dependable, analytical, and comfortable working with confidential information in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and timely financial records for routine accounting and bookkeeping activities.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoice entry, payment tracking, and reconciliation.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts on a regular basis.
- Prepare journal entries, account summaries, and support schedules as needed.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Monitor cash flow, outstanding balances, and aging reports to support financial visibility.
- Support payroll-related recordkeeping and coordination as appropriate.
- Work with internal teams to resolve billing, payment, and coding discrepancies.
- Maintain organized files and documentation in support of audits and compliance requirements.
- Help prepare financial reports and other administrative accounting documents.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related financial role is required.
- Background in healthcare, medical office, or similar service-based environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping practices, and reconciliations.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with healthcare billing, insurance payments, or patient account processes.
- Experience supporting audits, compliance reviews, or financial reporting.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
