Executive Assistant – Job Description

The Executive Assistant performs highly responsible administrative and secretarial duties that require an extensive working knowledge of the organization, its programs, and the departments under the supervisor’s jurisdiction. Work includes relieving the supervisor of administrative details and office management functions and requires considerable judgment, problem‑solving, and discretion in handling highly confidential matters. Reports to the Dean, Enrollment Management.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate degree, or equivalent work experience on a year‑for‑year basis.
  • Two years of responsible secretarial or administrative assistant experience.
  • Demonstrated computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite in a networked office setting.
  • Successful completion of a background check.
  • * Per F.S. 295.065 – Certain service members and veterans, and their spouses and family members, will receive preference and priority, and certain service members may be eligible to receive waivers for postsecondary educational requirements.
  • Employment eligibility must satisfy §435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations; any person failing to meet the requirements will be deemed not qualified.
Annual Salary

$35,400.00 ($18.16 per hour)
