Mortgage Support Assistant Level I
The Mortgage Support Assistant provides essential administrative and customer support to Mortgage Loan Officers, Processors, Closers, and Supervisory Staff. This role helps ensure that mortgage applications move smoothly through the process and that members receive timely, helpful assistance.
What You’ll Do- Welcome and assist members in person and over the phone.
- Organize and track incoming mortgage applications.
- Schedule prequalification and loan application appointments.
- Route calls and document member interactions.
- Manage office supplies and coordinate equipment maintenance.
- Handle filing, copying, faxing, and preparing Fed Ex packages.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail.
- Prepare weekly production reports and support marketing material needs.
- Review daily production reports and take follow‑up actions as needed.
- Prepare loan files for delivery to Secondary Marketing after closing.
- Review and submit appraisal invoices for payment.
- Retrieve outstanding loan documents after closing.
- Prepare initial application packets for files not automatically routed.
- Set up new applications by printing credit reports and documentation.
- Provide general mortgage‑related guidance to members.
- Send required initial disclosures (MDIA, RESPA, GFE) and update systems with correct dates and fees.
- Assist Loan Officers/Processors with follow‑up tasks such as requesting title work, insurance, and employment verification.
- Support closing by helping with the delivery of funds and loan proceeds.
- Prequalify members or take applications when needed.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by leadership.
Level I focuses on core administrative tasks such as greeting members, tracking incoming loans, and file preparation. It also includes reviewing production reports and delivering completed loan files to Secondary Marketing.
Job Type & LocationContract to Hire position based out of Pensacola, FL.
Pay and BenefitsPay range: $15.00 – $15.00 per hour.
