Job Description Summary
The Patient Services Specialist (PSS) handles most clerical duties associated with a medical clinic. The role is divided into stations, each with distinct job duties. All PSS employees are expected to assist co‑workers and learn all front‑office duties.
All employees are required to assist their co‑workers in performing every job duty of a PSS at all times and to learn and perform all duties of all front office stations. They must adapt to changing office layouts and priorities, maintain strong attention to detail, and consistently meet time-sensitive priorities.
- Handles administrative and clerical duties for a medical clinic.
- Supports colleagues in performing all PSS job duties at all times.
- Adapts to variations in office layouts and fulfills station duties as assigned.
- Maintains high attention to detail and meets time-sensitive priorities.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Previous Experience- Healthcare experience highly preferred; attention to detail and multitasking ability.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a wide variety of personalities.
- Analysis & Critical Thinking: problem-solving, analysis, decision-making, planning, time management, organizational skills, independent judgment.
- Interpersonal Effectiveness: interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, diplomacy, tact, conflict management, delegation, diversity awareness.
