Job DescriptionThe Executive Assistant performs highly responsible administrative and secretarial duties that require an extensive working knowledge of the organization, its programs, and the departments under the supervisor’s jurisdiction. Work includes relieving the supervisorof administrative details and office management functions. This position requires considerable judgment, problem-solving, and discretion in handling highly confidential matters. Reports to theDean of Students.
Minimum QualificationsGraduation with an associate degree from an institution that holds accreditation recognized by the U.S.Department of Education and approved by the College, two years of responsible secretarial or administrative assistant experience, and demonstrated computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite in a networked office setting. Appropriate work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis. College coursework may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
Successful resultsof a background check are required.

Pursuant to College policy, it is an employment eligibility requirement for an applicant to meet the requirements of §435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations. Any person failing to meet the requirements of the statute will be deemed not qualified to hold employment in this position. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate as a condition of employment, and any person who fails to disclose any adverse information contained in the background investigation at the timeof submitting the employment application will be disqualified from employment.
Annual Salary: $36,400.00 ($18.66/hour)
