Small Business Advisor
Full Time – Pensacola, FL, US
Salary Range: $60,000.00 to $75,000.00 Annually
Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the Commercial Loan Department during loan processing and closing.
- Follow the sales management process, maintaining a regular calling program to members and prospects to generate high‑quality new deposits and loan business.
- Meet with existing members and prospects via personal calling and other contacts to discuss business needs and recommend applicable credit union products and services.
- Collect updated financial information from borrowing members on an ongoing basis.
- Communicate lending decisions to members.
- Represent the credit union at civic and community functions to enhance its image and develop additional business.
- Gather supporting documents for processing and loan approval.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
- Originate $600k in new business loans per quarter.
- Contribute to deposit growth tied to the loan portfolio (e.g., 10% deposit‑to‑loan ratio).
- Maintain a healthy portfolio with delinquencies under 2%.
- Handle referrals expeditiously, conduct loan interviews professionally, gather all information accurately, and quote rates and pricing accurately.
- Establish strong relationships with business referral sources; achieve successful referral rates.
- Attend community involvement or business development events.
- Ensure audits show all transactions and activity comply with applicable regulations.
- Three to five years of similar or related experience.
- Education:
(1) A bachelor’s degree, or (2) formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor’s degree. - Interpersonal skills: ability to build relationships, resolve conflicts, and handle confidential matters with discretion.
- Other skills:
- Effective organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently without supervision.
- Ability to provide exceptional member satisfaction and grow member relationships.
- Willingness to travel when required.
- Working knowledge of current lending practices, policies, and commercial loan documentation.
- Detail‑oriented with strong time management and organizational skills.
The position is based in‑office in Pensacola, FL, and primarily involves the use of standard office equipment such as computers, printers, and phones. The normal expected work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional after‑hours work or travel may be required to meet project deadlines or attend conferences, seminars, or client meetings. All safety rules and regulations must be adhered to.
