Overview
The Northeast YMCA - Vickrey Ctr. is seeking Summer Camp Counselors for 5-12 year olds (Kidz & Pre Teen Camps) and 13-15 year olds (Teens On Mission Camp). Requirements: at least 18, pass Level 2 background screening, drug screening, and love working with children in a camp environment. Role involves engaging with children and leading camp activities such as camp songs, indoor/outdoor games, STEAM projects, adventures, and other Summer camp activities.
Trainingand schedule
Mandatory Summer Camp training on May 8 (Team building), May 9 (CPR/First Aid & Child Abuse Training), May 15 (Team building), and May 16 (Working with Children with Special Needs in Summer Camp & Meet the Counselor Event). Shift times may include: M-F 7:00am - 1:00pm, 12:00pm - 6:00pm, and a middle shift with varying hours.
CompensationPay ranges: group counselors $14.50-$15.25/hr;
Lead Counselors and Instructors (Music & Outdoor) $15.00-$16.00/hr;
Camp Coordinators $16.00-$16.25/hr special consideration for those with previous Summer Camp experience.
