Position Overview Field Superintendent / Structural Layout Superintendent
The Field Superintendent / Structural Layout Superintendent plays a critical role on our high‑rise hotel project by leading field operations with a strong emphasis on layout accuracy, quality control, and structural execution. This position combines hands‑on technical expertise with direct supervisory responsibility on the deck. The ideal candidate is detail‑driven, commanding in the field, and motivated to take complete ownership of layout, subcontractor coordination, and execution quality.
Key Responsibilities- Precision Layout & Control:
Perform and maintain precise construction layout using Topcon / total station technology, including pile layout, edge‑of‑slab layout, vertical control, wall layout, and elevation verification. - Quality & Verification:
Serve as the project’s layout control lead, ensuring dimensional accuracy is maintained throughout vertical construction. Verify work‑in‑place for conformance with plans, specifications, and tolerances to proactively resolve structural or quality issues. - Field Supervision & Coordination:
Direct daily field activities, coordinate closely with foremen and fellow superintendents, and drive short‑term planning, sequencing, and schedule adherence. - Subcontractor Management:
Monitor subcontractor work for quality, constructability, and strict alignment with project standards, design documents, and safety requirements. - Inspections & Documentation:
Lead inspections, manage punch list preparation, and maintain accurate documentation related to quality control, safety compliance, and field verification. - Promote the Company’s jobsite values of safety first, clear communication, respect, and accountability.
Benefits will be offered on the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment:
- Base Salary: $75K to $100K
- Company credit card (for company related business only)
- Fuel allowance and routine maintenance for vehicle (e.g., oil changes & tire rotations)

- Performance/project/holiday bonuses based on employee, project and company performance
- Health Insurance – Employee/single coverage with 90% of costs covered by the Company, the remaining 10% paid by employee through weekly payroll deduction. Option to upgrade to include spouse/family at employee's cost.
- Additional plans such as dental, health, short‑term disability, cancer, life, etc. available at employee’s cost.
- John Hancock 401K with up to 4% match by employer; employee may contribute pre‑tax dollars above 4% up to the applicable limit. Post‑tax Roth IRAs also offered.
