The Construction Superintendent is responsible for the daily operations of construction projects, from planning activities through to completion. Responsibilities include scheduling work, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring compliance with contract documents, maintaining a safe environment, and delivering superior quality results.
Primary Job Functions- Schedule construction activities and overall project completion times using project plans and specifications.
- Read and interpret construction drawings to direct subcontractors.
- Plan, direct, and budget for assigned projects.
- Handle project administration, including funding status, billing procedures, and contractual submittals.
- Assist with design reviews, providing direction to subcontractors and support staff.
- Manage progress payment requirements, quantity options, and government-furnished property.
- Develop agendas for weekly and pre/post‑job conferences.
- Create desktop publishing materials and visual presentations.
- Prepare cost accounting worksheets by analyzing blueprints, plans, and related documentation.
- Assist Site Manager/Project Manager with project budgets.
- Keep current with government regulations and commercial trends; ensure compliance with the Service Contract Act, Davis Bacon Act, and other federal regulations.
- Maintain customer relations through face‑to‑face and digital communication.
- Use scheduling software, update reports, and email as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Associate’s degree in a related field.
- 5 years of experience in the medical construction industry.
- 10 years of relevant work experience.
- 5 years of supervisory experience.
- Experience with the US Corps of Engineers, government contracting, and general construction in healthcare facilities.
- Must pass the Corps of Engineers CQM class for contractors.
- Preferred: ASHE HCC certification.
- Advanced management and employee/customer relations skills.
- Advanced verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Experience with P6 (Oracle) is preferred.
- Experience with Pro Core is preferred.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Experience in financial management of task order budgets and ensuring subcontractors meet contractual responsibilities within budget.

Travel Requirements- Up to 20% travel.
Base salary range $98,000‑$103,000. Eligible for a range of competitive benefits including medical, well‑being, financial planning, and short‑term benefits.
