Roads, Inc. of NWF is seeking an experienced Senior Heavy Civil Construction Estimator to join our growing team in Pensacola, Florida. We are a well-established heavy civil contractor specializing in roadway construction, underground utilities, asphalt paving, concrete, drainage, and site development throughout Northwest Florida and South Alabama.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in the continued growth of our company by leading the estimating process for complex public and private infrastructure projects.

• Prepare complete and accurate cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects ranging from $500,000 to $30+ million.
• Review plans, specifications, geotechnical reports, and contract documents.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for earthwork, utilities, drainage, concrete, asphalt paving, erosion control, and maintenance of traffic.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Develop labor, equipment, and production cost estimates.
• Identify project risks and value engineering opportunities.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits.
• Coordinate with project management and operations during project turnover.
• Assist with change order pricing and budgeting throughout construction.
• Maintain estimating databases and historical production costs.

• Minimum 5 years of heavy civil estimating experience (preferred).
• Experience estimating FDOT, municipal, county, utility authority, or site development projects.
• Strong understanding of roadway construction, underground utilities, asphalt paving, drainage, grading, and concrete construction.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
