We are hiring an experienced Construction Estimator to prepare accurate, competitive bids for commercial interior construction projects. This role focuses on estimating projects involving commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, and commercial flooring, ensuring complete and accurate pricing from initial plan review through bid submission.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in commercial construction estimating, excels at performing quantity takeoffs, analyzing project documents, coordinating vendor and subcontractor pricing, and developing detailed cost estimates. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working on a diverse range of commercial projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed estimates for commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceiling, and flooring projects.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and bid documents to determine project scope and requirements.
- Perform accurate quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work.
- Solicit and evaluate pricing from vendors and subcontractors to develop competitive bids.
- Identify scope gaps, exclusions, value engineering opportunities, and potential project risks before bid submission.
- Develop complete bid proposals, budgets, and supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers, field teams, suppliers, and clients to clarify project scope and resolve estimating questions.
- Maintain organized estimating records using estimating and project management software.
- Support project handoff by providing detailed estimate information to operations teams following project award.
