Job Overview
TEKsystems is searching for customer service oriented candidates for an entry‑level call center role as a Delinquency Control Counselor with a Fortune 100 Financial Institution. The position starts June 22 and requires onsite work in Pensacola, FL, 3 days a week.
Responsibilities- Work in early stage collections (1‑30 days late) to prevent impact on members’ credit scores before mid or late stage collections.
- Provide member financial counseling and mitigate loss for the credit union.
- Contact delinquent members to cure delinquency using payment options and loss‑mitigation tools.
- Gather detailed financial information and analyze it to determine optimal solutions for curing delinquency.
- Note member arrangements, reasons for delinquency, and charge‑off alternatives in collection systems.
- Offer short‑ or long‑term solutions such as repayment plans, promises‑to‑pay, loan modifications, refinances, personal finance management, and deferral programs.
- Explain and communicate settlement options.
- Maintain knowledge of federal and state consumer protection laws.
- 1‑3 years recent experience in customer service, collections, or a financial environment.
- Effective communication skills via email and phone.
- Ability to navigate multiple systems with high‑volume incoming calls.
- Professional written and verbal communication.
- Problem‑solving skills, patience, and empathy.
$17.00 hourly.
ScheduleFull time, 40 hours per week, Monday‑Saturday, 11:30 am‑8:00 pm CST.
Monday‑Friday 11:30 am‑8:00 pm CST;
Saturday 8:00 am‑4:30 pm CST (must work at least 3 Saturdays per month). Rotating off day during the week and holiday availability required.
- The first 4 weeks of training is hybrid 2 days a week onsite, followed by nesting.
- Nesting may last up to 4 weeks of technical training, including phone etiquette, navigation, and empathy; first 3 days on site, remaining days hybrid.
- Additional up to 4 weeks of nesting led by leadership focusing on skill development; this phase is onsite.
This is a Contract to Hire position based in Pensacola, FL.
