Experienced Dental Assistant

Position: Full-Time Dental Assistant

Practice: Two-Doctor Private Dental Practice

Compensation: Hourly pay based on experience

Schedule: Full-time

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and patient-focused Dental Assistant to join our two-doctor private dental practice. The ideal candidate is a team player who takes pride in providing exceptional patient care, maintaining a positive and professional environment, and supporting our doctors and team throughout the day.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the doctors during a variety of dental procedures
  • Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for patient care
  • Take dental X-rays as permitted by applicable regulations
  • Assist with infection control, sterilization, and operatory turnover
  • Prepare materials and instruments for procedures
  • Update accurate and timely patient medical information
  • Provide patients with post-operative instructions and education
  • Help patients feel comfortable and cared for throughout their visit
  • Assist with patient flow and daily clinical operations
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked clinical environment
  • Follow OSHA, HIPAA, infection-control, and practice protocols
  • Communicate effectively with doctors, hygienists, front-office staff, and patients
  • Perform other clinical and administrative duties as needed
Qualifications
  • Previous dental assisting experience preferred
  • Experience in a private dental practice preferred
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
  • Strong understanding of infection control and sterilization procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment
  • Positive attitude and willingness to be a supportive team member
  • Current certifications and licenses required for the position and applicable to the state of practice
