Overview:
Veterans Evaluation Services (VES) is seeking qualified General Medicine providers to perform essential assessments for our nation's Veterans on a PRN, ongoing basis. This role involves conducting interview-based exams and physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing. There is no treatment or prescribing involved. The position offers flexible scheduling with options for half-day or full-day assignments, providing a balanced work-life arrangement.
As a vital part of the VES team, you'll help streamline Veterans' benefits evaluations while enjoying a supportive, team-oriented environment.
Required Skills:
- Active medical license in good standing
- Background in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine
- Experience with compensation and pension examinations preferred
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to perform physical assessments (range of motion tests, muscle strength evaluations)
- Comfortable working independently and managing time efficiently
- Prior experience with VA assessments or military-related health evaluations
- Certification in relevant specialties or additional training in pension exams
- Familiarity with medical documentation and report writing
- Board certification or equivalent in family medicine, internal medicine, or related fields
- At least 1-2 years of clinical experience, especially in occupational health or veteran services
- Prior experience conducting Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams is a plus but not mandatory
- Availability to work 2 days per week in Pensacola or other specified locations
- Own office space within 50 miles of the listed city if working outside VES facilities
- Willingness to complete required training and onboarding promptly
- No travel reimbursement is provided; local candidates preferred
Hourly Pay Rate: $624.00
