Job Overview
The Business Department at Pensacola State College offers college-level Accounting courses in face‑to‑face, live online (Zoom), and asynchronous online formats. Adjunct instructors will be responsible for teaching, curriculum development, assessment, program evaluation, and maintaining college and department standards. This position reports to the Department Head, Business.
Responsibilities- Instruct students in accounting courses delivered in face‑to‑face, live online, or asynchronous formats.
- Develop curricula, assessments, and educational materials.
- Assess student learning and participate in program evaluation.
- Maintain college and department standards.
- Graduation from an accredited institution with a master’s degree in business or a related field, and a minimum of 18 graduate hours.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check.
- Demonstrable competence with the technology required for assigned courses.
- Experience as an adjunct or similar teaching role is preferred.
Adjunct Faculty are paid on an hourly basis according to degree level:
- Master’s Degree: $34.00 per hour
- Doctorate: $37.00 per hour
NOTE:
This is an open applicant pool. Positions are filled on an as‑needed basis.
All candidates must meet Florida Statutes §435.04(2) concerning background investigations. An FDLE‑approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate. Any person who fails to disclose adverse information during the background investigation will be disqualified from employment.
