PositionFirst Grade Teacher
Responsibilities- Teach 18-20 students in 1st grade across English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies.
- Plan instruction with an 80-minute duty-free planning period alongside the second first-grade teacher.
- Collaborate with a full-time instructional assistant who supports all instruction as directed.
- Attend weekly faculty meetings on Wednesdays, which are early-release days.
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
- Experience teaching elementary-age students in independent schools (preferred).
- Ability to engage students, master creative and diverse teaching methods, and demonstrate knowledge of current pedagogy.
- Familiarity with technology integration in the instructional setting.
