Job Summary
Mother Clelia Morning Star High School (MCMSHS), a dynamic and growing ESE high school, is seeking a full‑time high‑school special education teacher with an academic focus in mathematics for the 2026‑27 school year. Established in 2020 and accredited in 2024, MCMSHS partners with a community of families whose children have a variety of neuro‑divergent diagnoses. Our students receive a modified curriculum aligned with Florida's Access Point Standards.
MCMSHS offers both non‑diploma and diploma opportunities over either four‑ or five‑year course progressions which are determined based on the needs of each individual student in collaboration with parents and staff. We endeavor to help spark creativity, feel Christ's daily presence and love, and help families plan for the future, ensuring students graduate with confidence.
ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate is dedicated to delivering quality instruction while helping students grow into disciples of Christ whose hearts and minds are focused on a love of God. Interested individuals will also be expected to strive for academic excellence and humble service to all. The teacher will design and implement instructional materials that meet the individualized needs of students and create a Christ‑centered, nurturing learning environment.
QualificationsApplicants must hold a valid ESE Florida Teaching Certificate or be willing to seek Florida certification. Practicing Catholic educators are preferred, but this is not a requirement. A dedication and passion for teaching special needs students in a Christ‑centered, nurturing environment is critical.
