-State (ITS-S) supports the integration of instructional technology across multiple schools within a defined region. This role enhances and improves the teaching and learning process through technology by working directly with school leadership teams, teachers, area curriculum directors, and support teams. The ITS-S serves as a regional resource, aligning technology integration efforts with the CSUSA Education Model and ensuring consistency and quality across schools.
- Partners with school leaders, area curriculum specialists, and support teams to assess needs, develop, and implement school-based instructional technology plans.
- Supports alignment of technology integration practices in collaboration with state teams and the national instructional technology team.
- Coordinates professional development (both synchronous and asynchronous) to build staff capacity in effective instructional technology use.
- Offers individualized coaching to educators on best practices for technology-enhanced teaching, informed by insights gathered through classroom observations.
- Advises school-based instructional leadership teams on selecting and integrating digital tools that align with instructional goals.
- Provides support in the rollout, training, and ongoing use of educational platforms and devices (e.g., iPads, Apple TVs, learning management systems).
- Assists schools in developing curriculum resources and lesson plans that leverage technology to enhance learning outcomes.
- Facilitates state-wide sharing of best practices, success stories, and innovative uses of technology.
- Diagnoses and troubleshoots problems related to classroom technology, including interactive displays, devices, and instructional software.
- Assists in the research, evaluation, and recommendation of new technology tools, focusing on their instructional impact and usability.
- Acts as a bridge between instructional staff, IT departments, and school leadership to ensure technology integration aligns with academic priorities and goals.
- Collects and analyzes feedback and usage data to guide decision-making for ongoing support, purchases, and training plans.
- Participates in regional and system-level committees focused on educational technology strategy and long-range planning.
- Collaborates on cross-functional projects and participates in statewide initiatives focused on instructional technology implementation and innovation.
- Prepares and delivers presentations and reports to stakeholders on regional progress and impact of technology initiatives.
