Job Description
Adjunct instructors in the Natural Sciences Department will teach college-level Microbiology courses offered in face‑to‑face, live online (Zoom), and asynchronous formats. Duties include instructional delivery, curriculum development, assessment of student learning, participation in program evaluation, and maintenance of College and department standards.
Responsibilities- Instruct students in Microbiology courses.
- Develop and update course curricula.
- Assess student learning outcomes.
- Participate in program evaluation activities.
- Maintain College and department standards.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent educational credential.
- At least 18 graduate hours beyond the master’s degree.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check.
- Demonstrated ability to use technology required for assigned course(s).
Master’s Degree:** $35.00 per hour
Doctorate:** $38.00 per hour
Applicants must satisfy Florida Statutes §435.04(2) regarding background investigations. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted for all successful candidates. Disclosure of adverse information during background investigation disqualifies the applicant.
