Adjunct Faculty, Physics; Academic Year 2026

Job Description

The Natural Sciences Department offers college-level Physics courses in the following formats: face-to-face, live online via Zoom, and asynchronous online. Adjunct instructors instruct students, develop curricula, assess student learning, participate in program evaluation, and maintain College and department standards.

• Instruct students in college-level physics courses across multiple delivery formats.
• Develop and update course curricula and learning materials.
• Assess student learning and provide feedback.
• Participate in program evaluation activities.
• Maintain College and department standards of instruction.

• Graduation from an accredited U.S. Department of Education institution.
• Master’s degree in physics or a related field, or Master’s degree plus at least 18 graduate hours.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check.
• Proficiency in using and demonstrating necessary technology for assigned courses.
• Ability to meet Florida Statute §435.04(2) background investigation requirements.

• Master’s Degree: $35.00 per hour.
• Doctorate: $38.00 per hour.
