Position: Adjunct Faculty, Cybersecurity (Academic Year 2026 - 2027)

Job Description

The Mathematics and Computer Science Department offers college-level Cybersecurity courses in face‑to‑face and asynchronous online formats. Adjunct instructors instruct students, develop curricula, assess student learning, participate in program evaluation, and maintain College and department standards. This is an open applicant pool. Positions are filled on an as‑needed basis by the department.

Responsibilities
  • Instruct students in cybersecurity courses.
  • Develop course curricula.
  • Assess student learning.
  • Participate in program evaluation.
  • Maintain College and department standards.
Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and approved by the College.
  • Master’s degree in field or a master’s degree plus 18 graduate hours, or a doctoral degree.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check.
  • Ability to use and demonstrate required technology for assigned courses.
Salary

Adjunct Faculty shall be paid on an hourly basis according to degree level:

  • Master’s Degree: $35.00
  • Doctorate: $38.00
Employment Eligibility

Pursuant to College policy, it is an employment eligibility requirement for an applicant to meet the requirements of §435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate. Any person who fails to disclose any adverse information in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application will be disqualified.
