Position Overview

Join the PSC family as an Adjunct Instructor in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences. Adjunct instructors instruct students, develop curricula, assess student learning, and maintain College and department standards and deadlines.

• Teach college-level courses in face-to-face, live online via Zoom, and online via Canvas formats.
• Develop and deliver course materials, assessments, and learning outcomes.
• Maintain College and department standards, meeting all required deadlines.

• Graduation from an accredited institution with a master’s degree in one of the disciplines listed above (or a closely related field) and at least 18 graduate credit hours in the specific discipline.
• Successful criminal background check.
• Compliance with Florida Statute §435.04(2) regarding background investigations.

• Anthropology – minimum 9 graduate semester hours in general anthropology.
• Early Childhood Education – emphasis in Early Childhood Education graduate coursework.
• Exceptional Student – minimum 6 graduate semester hours in exceptional student education.
• American History – minimum 9 graduate semester hours in American History.
• American Government – coursework equivalent to required in a graduate political science program.
• Psychology, Human Growth & Development – coursework equivalent to required in a graduate general psychology program.
• Child Development – minimum 6 graduate semester hours in general or developmental psychology and at least 1 year of experience in an early childhood facility.

Adjunct Faculty are paid hourly:
Master’s Degree $35.00;
Doctorate $38.00.
