Lead Pastor of Church

This Lead Pastor opportunity involves leading (and preaching the majority of the time) at a new Church Experience location that you start from scratch or relaunch from a merger in a city/state you prayerfully choose. CE is adding multiple locations at any given time and provides a strong Mission Support team, resources, and training to help launch and grow a local church campus in the location God leads you to.

The role includes selecting a location, building a Launch Team, and raising funds to launch the campus. Initial financial resources should come from a combination of external fundraising—which CE coaches and supports—and the tithes & offerings from the Launch Team. You may raise more funds to start full‑time or begin bi‑vocational, building up from there.

Our model places a Lead Pastor at each CE location who leads and preaches 70‑85% of the time (supplemented by central campus teaching videos). High flexibility is provided for envisioning unique local groups, outreach, and team building, while benefiting from shared resources such as curriculum, background‑check processes, database, technology, web design, online giving, and legal/financial reporting.

• Strong preacher
• Inspiring leader and team builder
• Experience in growing a group, service, or ministry (will be building up to a big/quick launch from a small team)
• Fundraiser (will need to raise funds through personal network and other churches with our help along with CE financial support) and/or bi‑vocational
• Some college level education necessary (degree completion not required)

• Ability to start planning and fundraising relatively soon (relocation to the city of your choice for planting not needed immediately)
• Successful ministry experience valued over formal education, but some ministry/Bible education may be required
• Items to include in resume: recent preaching/teaching video, primary ministry experiences listed with start/end dates, education, contact info, and social media accounts
