Job Description

The Administrative Coordinator, Charter Academy is a 12-month professional position with an anticipated start date of August 2026, but a different start date may be negotiated. The successful candidate will coordinate various aspects of the Charter Academy, to include student admissions, registration, maintenance of student records, document management, and policies and procedures. This position performs public-facing customer service and duties that require an extensive working knowledge of the Academy.

The Administrative Coordinator provides a wide latitude of administrative and secretarial support in the management of the Charter Academy. This position reports to the Dean and Principal, Charter Academy.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an institution that holds accreditation recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and approved by the College with a bachelor’s degree and demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Professional (including Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) in a networked office setting. Successful results of a criminal background check. Pursuant to College policy, it is an employment eligibility requirement for an applicant to meet the requirements of §435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations.

Personnel who are hired to fill positions in a charter school are also required to meet employment eligibility requirements per §1012.32(2)(b)(1). Any person failing to meet the requirements of the statute will be deemed not qualified to hold employment in this position. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate as a condition of employment, and any person who fails to disclose any adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application will be disqualified from employment.

Preferred Qualifications

Prefer experience working in an administrative role in a K-12, college, or university setting and experience working as a member of a team with minimum supervision.

Salary

$41,000.00 - $46,000.00 (Depending on the qualifications, the salary is negotiable).
