Position: Adjunct Faculty, Culinary and Hospitality Management (Academic Year 2026 - 2027)

Teach culinary skills and knowledge to provide students with the competence to become skilled in the field and secure a job in their new career. Mastery in food sanitation and safety is essential, as in-depth knowledge of kitchen utensils and appliances.

Responsibilities
  • Teach culinary instruction to a diverse student population.
  • Develop, review, and recommend curriculum updates.
  • Select textbooks and prepare lesson plans and instructional aids.
  • Deliver class material in a logical manner.
  • Maintain high standards of conduct for an orderly, safe, and productive classroom environment.
  • Communicate effectively with students and colleagues both orally and in writing.
Qualifications
  • Graduation from a U.S. Department of Education accredited institution with an associate degree.
  • Four (4) years of relevant culinary work experience or appropriate occupational certification replacing two (2) years of experience.
  • Successful completion and clearance of a background investigation meeting Florida Statute §435.04(2).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and commitment to the college mission.
Employment Eligibility

A Florida Department of Law Enforcement approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate. Disclosure of any adverse information during the background investigation will result in disqualification.
