Position: Adjunct Faculty, Massage Therapy (Academic Year 2026 - 2027)

Responsibilities

  • Assist and follow all curriculum while being a team player.
  • Teach occupational skills and knowledge to help students become competent in their field and secure employment.
  • Demonstrate occupational materials, tools, equipment, and processes using standard and/or instructor-prepared aides per state requirements.
  • Instruct students in appropriate safety precautions and the safe operation and use of tools and equipment per state requirements and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Control the storage, maintenance, and use of materials and property to prevent loss or abuse.
  • Establish and maintain standards of student conduct to provide an orderly, safe, and productive environment in a hands‑on activity classroom setting.
  • Be available for both morning and evening classes.
Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and approved by the College with a Massage Therapy Certification/License.
  • Licensed in the field of massage for at least six years, a two‑year degree with four years’ experience, a four‑year degree with two years’ experience, or a master’s degree with one year experience.
  • Proficiency with various types of massage modalities.
  • Clear understanding of OSHA and sanitization rules and regulations, plus job safety.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Prior teaching experience is preferred, not required.
Employment Eligibility and Background Check

Pursuant to College policy, applicants must meet the requirements of §435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations. Any person failing to meet these requirements will be deemed not qualified to hold employment in this position. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate as a condition of employment, and any person who fails to disclose adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application will be disqualified from employment.
