Area Airfield Design Business Class Leader
We are seeking a leader to develop, coordinate, and elevate our airfield design business class services, ensuring top‑quality delivery of projects and strengthening our aviation services.
Responsibilities- Take responsibility for area‑wide development, coordination, monitoring and improvement of technical competencies of airfield business class staff and products to meet client needs and market drivers.
- Collaborate with area and company operations, marketing and management on business class efforts.
- Develop and lead business class practice and professional discipline groups, and project teams.
- Participate in and contribute to annual business plan development, partnering with market sector and business group leadership to manage business plan goals throughout the year.
- Internally and externally recruit, develop and retain aviation staff in accordance with Market Sector needs and strategy.
- Oversee delivery of project services and deliverables to meet client expectations, workload leveling needs and best‑practice application.
- Responsible for overseeing design deliverables with technical accuracy and quality control.
- Serve as an ambassador for our internal quality program for airfield design business class services and oversee QA/QC procedures.
- Oversee project teams to successfully deliver on a variety of projects.
- Oversee the writing of technical reports, presentations, and other materials.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Proficient in aviation planning and design principles.
- Demonstrated history in successfully leading teams on complex airport / airfield projects.
- Experience with FAA and US DoD Aviation design criteria.
- Experience with large, multi‑disciplined programs at hub airports.
- Geographic diversity of experience throughout the US.
- Knowledge of aviation market in Florida, including client relationships and past project experience.
- Excellent analytical, communication, leadership, planning and mentoring skills.
- Master's degree.
- PMP certification.
- Preference given to local candidates.
- Attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture.
- Bachelor's degree in a professional, architecture, engineering or closely related field.
- 10 years of experience.
- Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values.
- Maintains a professional or engineering registration and has related technical experience.
- Experienced in development and management of diverse teams.
- Works cooperatively with other area business class leaders, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class efforts.
- Attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture.
Primary location:
United States‑Florida‑Tampa.
