The Senior R&D Engineer is responsible for delivering high‑quality new membrane designs that meet aggressive customer applications. This role will lead the development of new membrane designs, enhance existing processes, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate new technologies. By doing so, the Senior R&D Process Engineer will ensure the highest quality standards, address current bottlenecks, and promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

This position reports to the R&D Director and is located in Pensacola, Florida, USA and requires on‑site presence.

• Performs research (biology, chemistry, mechanical, software, etc.) to generate analytical data for internal and/or external clients.
• Responsible for the investigation of new technologies and experimentation directed at the practical application of scientific theories.
• Ensures that programs meet scientific objectives and are aligned with customer needs.
• Builds relationships with industry/technology key opinion leaders.

• Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering or a similar field.
• 3 years of industrial experience in process engineering.
• Competent in fundamentals of organic material science and engineering.
• Lead process characterization and development for transformational new technologies.
• Execute projects from lab scale, pilot scale to manufacturing scales.

• 25% travel is required for this role.
• May occasionally work overnight or on weekends if needed.

• Lean Six Sigma.
