We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer PE to join our Novi or Detroit office and take on challenging site development and redevelopment projects. In this role, you'll work on complex, high‑profile initiatives that shape communities and deliver innovative civil engineering solutions.

You will be responsible for overseeing the design and coordination of large‑scale multi‑family residential, retail, corporate, and industrial projects.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience in civil engineering and a proven track record of handling complex projects from start to finish. Strong technical knowledge, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to navigate intricate site development challenges are essential for success.

Role Accountabilities
  • Work with internal, external, and stakeholder teams to assist with the completion of construction documents for site development, water resources, and/or civil projects
  • Be a technical resource for the project, providing guidance and insight to address technical processes within the project process
  • Represent Arcadis to external teams and stakeholders to establish robust, positive relationships through effective communication, precise technical guidance, and successful project methodologies
  • Be responsible for the organization of project structure and processes, including staff planning, quality controls, design oversight, and project budgets
  • Oversee and, when necessary, prepare construction documents, calculations, and reports for public or private clients
  • Ensure quality controls and professional standards are met. When necessary, provide training, mentoring, and supervision of team members
  • Motivate team members to meet goals and objectives
  • Manage the budget for large projects or tasks
Qualifications & Experience
  • A Michigan‑licensed (PE) Civil Engineer with 6 or more years of experience in land and/or site development projects
  • Experience in the Civil / Land Development sector with project work such as single‑site and municipal‑type projects, and the development of construction documents for public sector clients, including cities, counties, water districts, etc.
  • Strong consulting skills, including project management and client relationship management at the senior management level
  • Deep professional experience leading Civil Engineering Teams, building a cohesive project culture with internal, external, and stakeholder teams
  • Proficient in developing project plans that address intricate civil engineering challenges, guaranteeing stakeholder expectations are satisfied or surpassed, while maintaining budgetary constraints
  • Proficient technical skills with AutoCAD, Civil 3D software, and Micro Station (considered an asset)

Salary range: $101,376 - $152,064 per year.
