Electronics Technician II: Radar Systems Maintenance

Position Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Work Location: Eglin AFB, FL

SA-TECH provides range support services at Eglin Air Force Base, including maintenance of land and marine targets, electronic warfare systems, and associated range instrumentation. The role includes troubleshooting and operating complex electronic equipment, interfacing with test customers, and ensuring mission success.

• Troubleshoot, repair, align, and operate complex electronic equipment.
• Operate and troubleshoot computer-controlled instrumentation, as well as analog and digital interface equipment.
• Utilize operational knowledge of spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, power meters, frequency counters, and RF components and radar subsystems.
• Interface with military and civilian test customers to ensure mission success.
• Perform other duties such as safety, security, PIPR, and TMDE as assigned.

Key to success in this role will be well-seasoned experience with maintaining, troubleshooting and operating ground-based (and possibly other) military radar systems.

• Duties are performed both indoors and outdoors.
• Outdoor duties may be performed in high humidity and on even or uneven surfaces, which may be dry or wet.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Job demands require physical dexterity and flexibility.
• Must be physically able to sit, stand, kneel and climb.
• Must be willing and able to wear company-provided personal protective equipment such as hearing protectors, safety glasses, gloves, etc.
• Must comply with all applicable USAF and SA-TECH safety rules, regulations and policies.
• Changing work locations, shift changes, and overtime may be required to support operations.

• Associates degree in electronics or certificate from an accredited technical school, or equivalent military technical training, and minimum three years’ experience in the listed duties.
• Well-rounded experience with radar systems.
• Good working knowledge of troubleshooting, repair, align, and operation of complex electronic equipment.
• Understanding of computer-controlled instrumentation and analog/digital interface equipment.
• Operational knowledge of spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, power meters, frequency counters.
• Knowledge of RF components and ground-based radar subsystems, including transmitters, receivers and servo systems.
• Current driver’s license required; must be insured under company vehicle insurance policy during work hours and throughout employment.
• U.S. citizenship required and ability to obtain a DoD Security Secret Clearance prior to hire date and maintain it throughout employment.
• All candidates must pass background screening including SSN, driver record, and criminal background investigation.
