Webber - Field Engineer Intern - Heavy Civil

We are looking for a dynamic intern to join our team and support various roles within Webber. This 12-week program focuses on Safety, Survey/Estimating, Project Supervision, and Field Engineering across several locations.

• Gain understanding of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and Hazard Safety Observations (HSO)
• Know and apply necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for jobsite activities
• Observe and prevent safety incidents
• Conduct jobsite audits
• Learn how to interpret plans and set layouts
• Understand how to survey for quantities
• Gain knowledge in conversions and accurate surveying practice
• Assess man-hour estimates and materials needed for production
• Communicate and delegate work plans to field crews

• Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Science/Management, or related 4‑year degree program
• Can communicate in English, both verbal and written
• Moderate to high level of computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook
• Manual dexterity sufficient to reach and handle items and work with the fingers
• Full understanding of Construction Math concepts
• Able to perform moderate to high level of physical activity in a field‑based construction environment
