Position/Project Overview

Project Solutions Inc. is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Technician for the civil engineering and acquisition support services to the U.S. Air Force’s 1st Special Operations Civil Engineer Squadron at Hurlburt Field, Florida. The Water/Wastewater Technician supports engineering and operations by performing maintenance, repair, and construction work on water and wastewater infrastructure systems. This role ensures utility systems are properly functioning and meet project requirements and operational standards.

This role is contingent upon award of project.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Perform repairs and construction work on water and wastewater infrastructure systems
  • Support maintenance and operation of water distribution and wastewater systems
  • Assist in infrastructure and facility projects related to water and wastewater utilities
  • Ensure all work complies with project requirements, engineering standards, and applicable regulations
  • Support system repairs, upgrades, and construction activities for water and wastewater networks
  • Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and project personnel on utility-related work
  • Participate in inspections and evaluation of water and wastewater systems to ensure proper functioning
  • Maintain records and documentation of maintenance, repairs, and project activities
  • Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and operational standards during all work activities
Required Education, Skills, and Abilities

Education/Certification:

  • No specific formal education degree required

Experience:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a DoD or commercial water/wastewater infrastructure technician
  • Experience must include repairs and construction work related to water and wastewater systems

Key Attributes &

Skills:

  • Ability to perform repairs and construction work on water and wastewater infrastructure systems
  • Strong knowledge of water distribution and wastewater systems and operations
  • Experience supporting maintenance, repair, and construction of utility systems
  • Ability to ensure work complies with project requirements, engineering standards, and regulations
  • Capability to support inspections and evaluate utility systems for proper function and compliance
  • Understanding of infrastructure systems related to water and wastewater utilities
  • Ability to coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and project personnel
  • Skills in documenting maintenance, repair activities, and project work
  • Strong attention to detail in performing and verifying system functionality
  • Ability to follow safety, environmental, and operational standards during all work activities
  • Familiarity with DoD, federal, or large-scale commercial infrastructure projects is highly beneficial
  • Ability to work independently with self-discipline and minimal supervision
  • Professional appearance and conduct at all times
  • Physical ability to see, hear, walk, drive, climb, reach, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
