Job Description:

Engineering Technician

This role is ideal for individuals driven by technical problem-solving and continuous improvement. The responsibilities include maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing manufacturing and facilities equipment. Additionally, you will manage small-scale projects and oversee contractors to ensure operational excellence and safety compliance.

Base pay range: $28.00/hr - $30.00/hr actual pay will depend on skills and experience. Contact your recruiter for more details.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in construction or contractor management
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment
  • Supervise equipment upgrades and modifications
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and implement solutions
  • Plan and execute small-scale projects for equipment and facility improvements
  • Conduct Job Safety Analyses and enforce safety standards
  • Oversee equipment startup, calibration, and support
  • Manage contractors for facility and equipment installations
  • Lead Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (FMEAs)
  • Apply Root Cause Analysis for troubleshooting and improvements
  • Mentor maintenance technicians in technical troubleshooting
Qualifications:
  • Understanding of engineering fundamentals and mechanical/electrical components
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical documents like P&IDs and schematics
  • Experience with PLCs
  • Familiarity with Lean methodologies is a plus
  • Knowledge of safety codes and engineering standards
  • Understanding of facility infrastructure systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; working knowledge of AutoCAD preferred
  • 3–5 years of experience in related engineering fields or a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering (or equivalent)
