Chemical Engineer

This person will be working at a large scale production facility using reactors and distillation columns that houses a pilot plant and laboratories. They are working to transition this site from a commodities manufacturing site to a high purity specialty chemical production site and are looking for an engineer to scale up products from a pilot plant setting to full blown production lines.

This person will supervise two technicians, scaling up new processes and products, developing new reaction processes, optimizing existing processes using bench and pilot plant equipment and working with R&D chemists. Our client has sites in SC, AL, TX and overseas. The relocation package is one of the best on the market and a superior bonus.

Required qualifications:

• M.S./Ph.D. Chemical Engineering only
• 7+ years’ experience out of petrochemicals or specialty chemicals in a pilot plant or in full scale production.
• Candidate ideally should have; scale up experience, a track record of developing new processes and optimizing existing processes.
• Candidate ideally should either have supervised others or projects where he/she have demonstrated leadership skills.
