Senior Integrated Resource Planning Engineer / Analyst, Electric Utility
Full time permanent opportunity for an experienced Integrated Resource Planning professional to perform planning and related analysis of our client’s long-range resource and generation plan, including alternative generation resources, production costing, system optimization modeling, load forecasting, fuel forecasting and capacity needs in support of their 10-year plan filed with the FL PSC.

Tampa, FL Hybrid and Onsite options available.
- Performs analysis of the corporation’s generation plan and comparison among alternative generation resources.
- Responsible for the application of production costing and system optimization models in the performance of generation planning.
- Performs generation optimization studies.
- Assists in demonstrating the system capacity needs and economic justification for new resources to the Florida Public Service Commission.
- Develops the Corporation's 10-year site plan for submittal and presentation to the Florida Public Service Commission.
- Performs software evaluation and contract administration for the Cooperative software used for economic evaluations, production costing and in support of the corporate model.
- Prepares Alternative Evaluation Studies for the RUS in support of major project financing.
- Conducts studies pertaining to, but not inclusive of, production costing; alternative facilities; purchase power alternatives; owner options; and sensitivities such as load, fuel price, etc.
- Perform other duties as applicable to the position or as assigned
- Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Economics, Business, or similar. BSEE, Preferred
- Professional Engineer’s License (PE) or ability to become Registered, is desirable
- Minimum of 5+ years of electric utility industry is required
- Extensive hands-on experience with resource planning modeling using Planning and Risk (PaR), PLEXOS, Aurora, EnCompass or similar application software to support staff recommendations on power supply and related corporate decisions
- Possess excellent communication and soft skills
