Remote DO-254 Verification Engineer (VHDL)

We are seeking an experienced DO-254 Verification Engineer to support the verification and validation of FPGA-based avionics and aerospace hardware designs. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with DO-254 verification processes, VHDL, and developing test cases, test procedures, and verification scripts (preferably in Python). The role requires close collaboration with design, systems, and certification teams to ensure compliance with aerospace standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute verification plans in compliance with DO-254 guidelines.
• Create and maintain verification test cases, test procedures, and test reports.
• Develop and maintain verification automation scripts, preferably using Python.
• Perform FPGA functional verification using VHDL.
• Review hardware requirements and ensure complete verification coverage.
• Analyze simulation and hardware test results, identify defects, and support issue resolution.
• Work closely with FPGA design, systems engineering, and certification teams throughout the development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of FPGA or hardware verification experience.
• Strong experience with DO-254 verification processes and certification documentation.
• Hands-on experience with VHDL.
• Experience developing verification test cases and test procedures.
• Experience writing verification automation scripts, preferably in Python.
• Strong understanding of FPGA verification methodologies and simulation.
• Experience reviewing requirements and creating traceability matrices.
• Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Tcl or Bash in addition to Python.
