Environmental Consultant position within the Department of Environmental Protection's Wastewater Compliance Assurance program in Pensacola, FL. The role involves conducting complex facility inspections, determining enforcement actions, developing training materials, and serving as subject matter expert for wastewater regulations. Responsibilities include compliance reviews, field investigations, enforcement coordination, and providing technical assistance and outreach to regulated facilities and internal staff.
Key qualifications:- Knowledge of wastewater regulations and environmental compliance procedures
- Skill in collecting, evaluating, analyzing and interpreting scientific or technical data
- Ability to conduct field inspections and investigations in various weather and terrain conditions
- Proficiency with computer operations including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint, and Outlook
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and train others
- Knowledge of field sampling techniques for soil, groundwater, surface water, and sediment
