The OpportunityAs a Civil Engineering Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing projects from concept through construction while ensuring successful delivery on schedule and within budget. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to clients, provide technical leadership to project teams, and play a key role in the firm's continued growth.
Key Responsibilities- Manage multiple civil engineering projects through all phases of design and delivery.
- Develop and oversee project schedules, budgets, staffing, and deliverables.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders.
- Lead project meetings and communicate project progress, budgets, and schedules.
- Coordinate engineers, designers, and technical staff to ensure high-quality project execution.
- Support proposal development, project pursuits, and long‑term client relationship management.
- Provide technical oversight and quality assurance for civil infrastructure projects.
- Lead hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and stormwater management design.
- Oversee engineering solutions related to drainage, water, wastewater, and transportation infrastructure.
- Review engineering calculations, reports, plans, specifications, and permit applications.
- Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain licensure in Florida or Alabama through reciprocity.
- 7–10 years of progressive civil engineering experience.
- Demonstrated success managing engineering projects, budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong technical background in municipal infrastructure, stormwater management, drainage, hydrology, and hydraulics.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship management skills.
- Water, wastewater, or transportation engineering experience.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Experience using ICPR or other hydraulic and hydrologic modeling software.
