Finance Assistant

Job Description

• Perform FY27 budget data entry and analysis, interpreting appropriate account allocations, reconciling budget balances, and utilizing financial software, spreadsheets, and supporting budget documents
• Assist with reviewing invoices to confirm accuracy of calculations and alignment with contract terms prior to processing
• Assist with monitoring account balances and ensure expenditures align with approved budgets and contracts
• Assist the department with financial reporting related to grants and audits

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to meet deadlines during budget preparation
• Experience in governmental or public sector finance preferred
• Knowledge of governmental accounting principles (GASB preferred)
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or relevant field
