To ensure that mortgage and equity loan documents are complete and accurate according to GNMA, FNMA, FHLMC, federal, state, investor and NFCU guidelines and requirements. Review and validate full loan package post-closing, includes items related to the loan such as income documents, appraisals, other miscellaneous documents. Ensure accuracy and completeness according to established guidelines & requirements. Identify and correct errors that may affect guaranty of loan and/or impact audit to prevent fines/penalties.
Coordinate changes, revisions and corrections with other mortgage staff, closing agents and vendors. Record, track, monitor documentation issues and productivity. Level I:
Work under general supervision. Perform basic/routine tasks with basic research/review.
- Determine whether mortgage and equity loan documents conform to stated guidelines and requirements
- Review system of record and enter tasks for identified issues
- Research, analyze and resolve issues related to documentation
- Document identified issues; update documentation as issues are resolved
- Process VA Funding Fee refunds from the government agency
- Process VA receipt updates and printing
- Review scanned mortgage documentation and index the image into the appropriate document type
- Coordinate with external vendors and internal business units to correct erroneous information
- Validate production numbers to daily reports submitted by Management - leveler
- Complete mortgage and equity document reviews within SLA &
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Exposure to mortgage lending principles, concepts and practices including mortgage processing, servicing and underwriting
- Exposure to reviewing/analyzing loans for compliance with Federal/state/county/NCUA/ laws, regulations and policies
- Familiarity with financial institution and lending practices, principles and regulations
- Experience in an accounting or banking operation, preferably dealing with payments, transactions, and balancing
- Experience in member/customer service preferably in a call center/retail banking/financial institution
- Familiarity with mortgage and equity (Conventional) guidelines
- Familiarity with mortgage/equity loan processing, closing, and documentation requirements and regulations
- Exposure to managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goals
- Effective clerical, technical or administrative skills
- Effective research, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Effective organizational, planning and time management skills
- Effective skill exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions
- Effective skill following, interpreting and applying relevant data/instructions to guidelines, procedures, practices and Regulations

- Effective skill performing mathematical calculations and working accurately with numbers
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Effective word processing and spreadsheet software skills
- Familiarity with Navy Federal products, services, programs, policies and procedures
- Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
