Position: COMMUNITY PLANNER with Security Clearance
Duties
* You will provide expert technical advice to senior personnel on policy, procedural, and technical issues relating to training infrastructure and training delivery systems.
* You will serve as the principal advisor on environmental issues with responsibility for managing and directing the Command's Environmental Compliance and Natural Resource Programs.
* You will lead multi-functional interdisciplinary teams and work groups in the development of infrastructure plans and projects and the implementation of new training delivery systems.
* You will ensure timely and accurate responses are developed for Command input to data calls, scenario analysis, and assessments of Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) impacts on Training Activities. Requirements Conditions of employment

* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Qualifications In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Utilizing automated systems and electronic products to support long-range planning and analysis of infrastructure, training delivery systems, and various Microsoft Office tools;
2) Demonstrating knowledge of the internal management control program, programmatic audits, and major program reviews;
3) Directing activities, evaluating options, and validating projects for maintenance and repair of facility systems and sub-assemblies; and
4) Conceptualizing and communicating fundamental principles, practices, and terminology of engineering and/or environmental sciences to determine solutions for facility management problems. Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website:

Applicants must possess:
* Degree: community planning; or related field such as urban affairs, architecture, landscape architecture, engineering, sociology, geography, economics, political science, or public administration that included at least 12 semester hours in the planning process, socioeconomic and physical elements of planning, urban and regional economic analysis, and development finance.

Note:

Applicants with degrees in related fields, such as those listed above, who do not have the 12 semester hours of specified course work must have had at least 1 year of work experience in community planning acquired under the supervision and guidance of a community planner. OR
* Combination of education and experience: courses equivalent to a major in one of the above disciplines, or a combination of related courses totaling at least 24 semester hours in any combination of the above disciplines of which at least 12 semester hours were in the planning process, and socioeconomic and physical elements of planning, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
