Job DescriptionAs a Medical Office Assistant at Medicus Spine & Joint, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office. You will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to our healthcare professionals. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities- Patient Interaction: Greet and check in patients, verify patient information; schedule and confirm appointments; answer phone calls; address patient inquiries.
- Administrative Duties: Maintain and update patient records, manage electronic medical records (EMR), and handle data entry with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Clinical Support: Prepare examination rooms, and support healthcare providers as needed.
- Office Coordination: Manage office supplies, ensure the cleanliness and organization of the reception area, and coordinate with other departments to facilitate patient care.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in healthcare administration or medical assisting is a plus.
- Previous experience as a medical office assistant or in a similar administrative role in a healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other office software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
