ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re seeking a Product Manager to help define and deliver the future of Bionews’ digital experiences. This role is highly cross-functional, you will work across Editorial, Engineering, Design, Insights, Audience Development, and Leadership. You’ll translate user and stakeholder needs into clear requirements, prioritize the roadmap, manage delivery, and ensure that each release moves us closer to a coherent, scalable product ecosystem.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Product Strategy & Road mapping
    • Develop and maintain product roadmaps
    • Define MVPs and iterative release strategies that balance impact, feasibility, and speed
    • Translate stakeholder and business needs into structured requirements
  • Delivery & Execution
    • Own delivery from concept → design → development → testing → launch
    • Write clear Epics, acceptance criteria, and Jira tickets
    • Drive cross-functional alignment with Engineering
    • Create and manage epics, tasks, and workflows in Jira
  • Technical & Platform Ownership
    • Collaborate with Engineering on implementation for:
      • Word Press (custom themes, ACF, custom blocks, taxonomies)
      • Profile Builder and Buddy Boss (identity, SSO, profile metadata)
      • AI tools (Vertex AI, OpenAI / Gemini - powered editorial tools)
      • Data pipelines and integrations (Big Query, analytics dashboards)
      • Content Hub frameworks and filtering systems
    • Define metadata schemas, field requirements, and platform-wide standards
    • Ensure consistency across design systems, UI patterns, and reusable components
  • Quality & Measurement
    • Partner with team to QA & validate functionality, track KPIs, and measure impact
    • Monitor user behavior via GA4, dashboards, and custom analytics
    • Use data and insight to inform prioritization and continuous improvement
  • Communication & Stakeholder Alignment
    • Provide clear status updates, documentation, and decision-making rationale
    • Facilitate meetings that align stakeholders around goals, requirements, and timelines
    • Translate complex technical concepts into clear narratives for non-technical audiences
ABOUT YOU

You are an experienced product manager who thrives in a cross-functional team. You have deep knowledge of digital platforms, a passion for user-centered development, and an ability to turn business problems into scalable technical solutions.

REQUIREMENTS
  • 3–7+ years of experience in Product Management or related field
  • Experience building products in CMS-driven environments (Word Press preferred)
  • Strong ability to write user stories, plan MVPs, and manage product delivery
  • Experience with authentication, profiles, permissions, or identity systems
  • Familiarity with modern design systems and component-based architecture
  • Demonstrated ability to work with engineering teams to define technical requirements
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and facilitation skills
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Nice-to-Have
  • Experience with Buddy Boss, Profile Builder, or other Word Press identity tools
  • Experience with rare disease communities, healthcare, or nonprofit platforms
  • Experience working with AI-powered tools and automation
  • Prior work with analytics pipelines or BI tools (Big Query, Looker, Redash, etc.)
