Role Overview:
Enterprise Agile Coach / SAFe Program Consultant (SPC)
This is a senior-level Agile leadership role focused on driving Agile transformation across a large organization. The person in this role acts as a coach, trainer, mentor, and change agent to help teams and leadership successfully adopt and scale Agile practices—especially using SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).
What This Role Primarily Does- Drives enterprise-wide Agile adoption using SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, and Dev Ops frameworks.
- Guides organizations through Product Management transformations and Lean Portfolio Management.
- Helps modernize how products are defined, built, tested, and delivered.
This isn’t just coaching one team — it’s influencing entire departments and leadership structures.
2️⃣ Coaches and Mentors Teams & Leaders- Works with multiple Agile teams and large programs at the same time.
- Teaches teams how to apply Agile principles effectively in real-world delivery.
They also:
- Mentor Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and engineering leaders
- Develop internal Agile champions (“Agile evangelists”)
- Influence without formal authority
- Must hold SAFe SPC (Scaled Agile Program Consultant) certification
. - Facilitates SAFe-certified training sessions and workshops.
- Leads planning events like PI Planning and portfolio planning sessions.
This role is authorized to formally train and certify others in SAFe.
- Identifies risks, bottlenecks, and maturity gaps.
- Helps teams implement solutions to improve flow and delivery.
- Keeps up with industry best practices in Agile and Dev Ops.
