Position Overview
We are looking for training content developers to distill technical cyber‑related training requirements into cyber warfare, defensive and offensive cyber operations, and cyberspace fundamentals training materials for delivery to Navy personnel. The role requires thriving in high‑pressure situations and leading teams to take correct actions.
Positions are full‑time, on‑site in Pensacola, FL.
Responsibilities- Create, update, and maintain technical training materials, courses, and curriculum.
- Develop curriculum using multiple synchronous and asynchronous training modalities, including instructor‑led, micro‑learning, blended learning, and self‑paced.
- Employ rapid and agile techniques and processes to create content for a frequently changing environment.
- Use a variety of tools and technologies to create and deliver technical courses and documentation.
- Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices to incorporate relevant training methodologies and tools into the training curriculum.
- Assess and evaluate course effectiveness through survey data analysis.
- Lead the development and implementation of new learning models and content design templates.
- Effectively manage multiple projects and initiatives from analysis to evaluation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Computer Science, or related field (or six years of relevant experience).
- 5+ years of experience in training development, instructional design, and delivery methods, preferably in a technical or IT‑related field.
- Experience developing training products using MIL‑HDBK‑29612 series.
- Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
- Strong technical acumen with ability to translate complex concepts into clear, concise language for advanced and novice learners.
- Experience with IT and cyber technical topics (e.g., hardware, software, networking concepts, protocols, OSI model).
- Ability to incorporate user feedback and organizational assessment data into design improvements.
- Demonstrated experience with authoring learning objectives, assessments, and course surveys.
- Experience with technical training concepts and delivery methods (online and in‑residence), including facilitating and delivering courseware for live and self‑paced trainings.
- Experience with the ADDIE process.
- Knowledge of evaluation models, including Kirkpatrick.
- Familiarity with content development authoring and multimedia development tools (e.g., Camtasia, Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Cloud).
- Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), course deployment and administration.
- Strong understanding of technical concepts.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Experience developing 2000‑level training courses:
Cyber Defense Analyst‑Basic, Host Analyst, Network Analyst, Network Technician, Cyber Threat Emulator, Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst Course, Cyberspace Operations Planners Course. - Graduate of one or more of the aforementioned cyber schools or equivalent service cyber school.
- Experience with Naval Education Training Command, Center for Information Warfare Training, Information Warfare Training Center policies.
- Experience monitoring, analyzing, troubleshooting, and evaluating learning technologies.
- Consulting, project management, and organizational/planning skills.
- Experience with cmi5/SCORM, xAPI, Section 508, and related standards.
- Instructional Systems Design, User Experience, or Human‑Centered Design certification.
- Experience with PCTE.
Preferred U.S. citizenship and TS/SCI clearance with ability to pass a CI polygraph; clearance requirements will be specified in the Government’s Task Order.
TravelOccasional travel up to 10% of the time.
