Network Security Administrator – Pensacola, Florida Responsibilities

  • Ensure ACAS benchmarks and scans, STIGs and checklists, DISA SCC, SCAP scanning utilities and all ACAS artifacts are provided on schedule for network, server, and end-user device management.
  • Ensure IAVMs are closed within 72 hours of notice or provide mitigation strategy with weekly progress reports.
  • Collaborate with ISSM to develop mitigation strategies, perform log analysis, and remediate vulnerabilities.
  • Utilize Power Shell to develop and deploy scripts to monitor and mitigate security vulnerabilities in OS and installed software.
  • Monitor and report on vulnerability management activities while remediating PO A&M actions with weekly reviews of CKL files.
  • Ensure STIG compliance for all servers, including manual DoD STIGs on VMware hosts.
  • Coordinate with cybersecurity teams to prioritize and address IAVMs per compliance requirements.
  • Ensure security metrics meet the passing requirement for Command Cyber Security Readiness Inspections.
  • Develop network security control procedures based on DISA, DHA, and local policies.
  • Implement security controls, monitor, and respond to alerts, analyze current technology packages for vulnerabilities.
  • Utilize ACAS suite to perform weekly vulnerability scanning and compliance checks on the MedCOI network.
  • Monitor cybersecurity information channels for latest developments, maintain up-to-date advisories, databases, and best practices.
  • Medical Device Security Administration:
    • Coordinate with medical staff and vendors to manage data integration with medical equipment.
    • Ensure availability and reliability of data interfaces between devices and systems.
    • Collaborate with medical staff to optimize data-driven processes and workflows.
    • Apply Information Assurance policies, procedures, and security measures to all medical systems.
  • Storage Area Networks (SAN) Management and Contingency Planning:
    • Design, implement, and manage SAN infrastructure.
    • Implement backup and recovery solutions.
    • Monitor backup operations, perform data restores, and ensure integrity.
    • Manage DLT and DMLSS tape inventory, perform regular restoration tests.
  • Contingency Planning:
    • Develop and maintain data contingency plans to minimize impact of failures or disasters.
    • Establish disaster recovery strategies and test effectiveness semi-annually.
    • Document and update plans and procedures.
    • Participate in capacity planning and performance discussions; assist in disaster recovery exercises.
    • Participate in annual COOP exercises locally and remotely for restoration verification.
  • Internet Information Services (IIS) Administration:
    • Manage and administer IIS for hosting web applications.
    • Configure and optimize IIS settings for performance and security.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve IIS issues.
  • Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and Print Management:
    • Design, implement, and manage DHCP services.
    • Ensure efficient IP address allocation and management.
    • Monitor and troubleshoot DHCP-related issues.
    • Administer and manage print services, including printer deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
    • Monitor and optimize print resources for efficiency.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Required Degree and Education

Bachelor’s degree in network administration with ten (10) years of experience in IT.

Required Skills and Experience
  • Experience managing virtual machine support using VMware or Microsoft Hypervisor.
  • Experience applying network systems risk management framework principles.
  • Knowledge of supporting RMF Authority to Operate processes.
  • Experience providing technical expertise for Assessment & Authorization activities for data center and cloud IT infrastructure.
Required Citizenship and Clearance

Must be a U.S. citizen and have an active Top Secret clearance.
