Data Analyst, Data Scientist
Job Summary
The Senior Research Analyst reports directly to the Director of Institutional Research and is responsible for the full spectrum of data analysis activities, including developing research methodologies, applying statistical techniques, validating and migrating data across systems, managing multiple concurrent projects, and ensuring accurate data processing and reporting to state and federal agencies.
This exempt position requires 37.5 hours per week on-site at the Pensacola campus. The incumbent may need to perform work outside normal hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement research methodologies for institutional data projects.
- Apply appropriate statistical techniques and advanced analytical functions.
- Validate, migrate, and process data across multiple systems.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects and ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare accurate reports and presentations for state and federal agencies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, Data Science, Analytics, or a related quantitative discipline from an accredited institution.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check (Florida Department of Law Enforcement approved).
- Authorization to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.
- Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Analytics, or a related quantitative discipline.
- At least two years of experience in quantitative or qualitative research, data collection, statistical analysis, reporting, and/or analysis of large longitudinal datasets.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools, project management methodologies, and statistical software such as SAS (Proc SQL, Proc GLM, Proc REPORT).
- Experience with Workday ERP systems for data extraction and reporting.
- Experience with organizational, state, and federal data reporting and validation processes.
- Proficiency with Tableau dashboard software.
$52,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year.
