Software Architect, Mid.
The Opportunity:
You know that true progress is made at the intersection of business and tech, and as a Software Architect you can develop your skills in both. You’ll work with an Agile team as they develop digital products to support clients’ missions, drive business analytics and processes forward, and explore technology trends to deliver user-friendly client experiences. You’ll work with a team of architects, business analysts, and project managers, alongside software developers and product owners, to identify clients’ business activities, gather software capabilities, and develop architecture documents.
You’ll guide your team in organizing these documents by creating architecture dashboards to deliver high-value business products and support mission objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop DoDAF viewpoints using MBSE methods and standardized visual languages such as SysML.
- Utilize Cameo Systems Modeler to develop DoDAF views and matrices that support architecture planning and decision making.
- Identify clients’ business activities and translate them into architectural representations and dashboards.
- Support Agile project delivery by translating complex ideas into clear, actionable insights and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
- Interpret incomplete or inconsistent documentation and synthesize it into coherent architectural artifacts.
- Maintain awareness of overall system direction and ensure architecture documents align with program goals.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes and SysML.
- Experience using Cameo Systems Modeler to develop DoDAF views and matrices.
- Knowledge of Agile project management methodologies and tools.
- Ability to translate complex ideas into clear insights and drive consensus among diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to interpret incomplete documentation and synthesize it into coherent representations.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- HS diploma or GED.
- Experience in enterprise or large-scale system modernization efforts.
- Knowledge of Unified Architecture Framework (UAF).
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology.
- Active security clearance beyond Secret (as applicable).
