We are on the hunt for a dynamic, passionate, and skilled Permanent Associate Attorney to join our reputable law firm. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a significant impact in our legal team, specifically in the area of custody. Responsibilities
Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in criminal or civil litigation.Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for clients and advise them about their legal rights and obligations.Prepare and draft legal documents, such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts.Negotiate settlements of civil disputes.Conduct research and analysis of legal problems to interpret laws, rulings, and regulations in a manner beneficial to the client.Handle custody cases, ensuring that the best interests of the child or children involved are prioritized.Prepare legal briefs and opinions, and file appeals in state and federal courts of appeal.Assist clients in custody disputes, visitation rights, domestic violence issues, and other related matters.Develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law.Qualifications
Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.A minimum of 2 years of experience as an attorney, specifically with a focus on custody cases.Strong knowledge of family law and custody disputes.Admitted to the State Bar and in good standing.Proven track record of successfully managing a caseload.Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to interpret laws and regulations.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism.Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.Interested in hearing more?
