Position Summary

The Procurement Coordinator is responsible for purchasing materials, equipment, tools, and supplies that support our HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical operations. This position works closely with warehouse personnel, service managers, install managers, vendors, and accounting to ensure products are available while maintaining cost efficiency and inventory accuracy.

This role requires exceptional organization, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do
  • Purchase materials, equipment, tools, and supplies for multiple departments
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and negotiate pricing when appropriate
  • Create and manage purchase orders
  • Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock before shortages occur
  • Coordinate deliveries with vendors and warehouse personnel
  • Track orders and resolve shipping delays or discrepancies
  • Compare pricing, quality, and lead times across suppliers
  • Assist with inventory audits and cycle counts
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
  • Work closely with department managers to forecast purchasing needs
  • Identify cost‑saving opportunities without sacrificing quality
  • Ensure purchasing complies with company policies and budgets
  • Assist with warranty claims and vendor returns
  • Support special purchasing projects as assigned
What We're Looking For
  • 2+ years of purchasing, procurement, inventory, or supply chain experience preferred
  • Experience in HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Construction, Manufacturing, or Distribution is a plus
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Self‑motivated with strong follow‑through
  • Ability to analyze pricing and purchasing trends
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and purchasing software
  • ERP or inventory management system experience preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field (preferred but not required)
  • Purchasing or inventory management certification is a plus
  • Knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical materials is highly desirable

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the day
  • Occasionally lift up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to work in both office and warehouse environments as needed
